In Excel, I want to format a specific cell to recognize three ranges (green , yellow , red) when the number is calculated.
If the number is under .02 then the cell turns yellow
if that number falls between .02 and .04 then the cell turns green
If the number is higher than .04 then the cell turns red
For example the resultant answer is .03...the cell would turn green
How do i make this happen?

Select the cells or cells that you want to format this way.
Set the fill color to green. This will be the default.
On the Home tab of the ribbon, select Conditional Formatting > New Rule...
Select 'Format only cells that contain'.
Leave the first drop down set to 'Cell Value'.
Select 'less than' from the second drop down.
Enter =0.02 in the box next to it.
Click Format...
Activate the Fill tab.
Select yellow.
Click OK, then click OK again.
Repeat these steps, but with 'greater than', =0.04 and red.
