F2 in excel is not working

Copper Contributor

Hi guys,

In the past, I could use the F2 key to set the cursor in one cell and to edit its content.

Unfortunately, this shortcut is not working anymore. If I push it, the speaker volume is lowered - this is actually the function of this key, but in excel, it worked for the shortcut to directly edit a cell without having to doubleclick on it.

I would be pleased to get your help. Thanks,

Tobi

Problem solved: press Fn and Esc to lock the Fn key.

SOLVED Pressed fn + F2 key to edit cell.

If you find annoying having to press fn every time, go to BIOS > System settings > Action Keys Mode > Disabled

Worked fine on my hp envy laptop (access to BIOS : f10 while turning on computer
