Excell will not solve for a formula entered into a cell
When a formula is entered into a cell and hit enter the formula is shown and not the answer.
Did that with no fix
PING! Now I get it. Your cells are formatted as text. Select the cells, hit control+1 to bring up the cell formatting dialog and change the number format to -for instance- General.
JKPieterse This fixed it but found just changing the cell to number will do it the cell must be cleared and then changed to number from text. Thanks for your help.
