Excel Worksheet Size Limits
Why the maximum limit of Excel worksheet size is:
1,048,576 rows by 16,384 columns
I noticed that the result of this calculation is the same number of the maximum rows:
1024 * 1024 = 1048576
.

Hello Haytham
The numbers can all be calculated with base 2.
Before Excel 2007 Excel used 65536 rows and 256 columns.
Since Excel 2007 that has changed to 1048576 rows and 16384 columns
A 1 65536 2 256 3 1048576 4 16384 Cell Formula A1 =2^16 A2 =2^8 A3 =2^20 A4 =2^14 Diese Tabelle wurde mit Tab2Html (v2.4.1) erstellt. ©Gerd alias Bamberg
