1. My excel workbook is locked into one cell. I can not move out of the cell. Can't 'escape, delet, backspace, or other wise get out of the cell.
2. The cell followes me from page to page within the workbook and remains selected.
3. If I click a cell another cell anywhere around it, a large box is formed from the locked cell to the clicked cell.
4. The locked cell will capture part of the spreadsheet data and move it to another location on the spreadsheet.
5. If the cell creates a box and I click the corner dot of the locked cell and draw it across the entire box ( to select it) the box turns green. I can not delete to box.
6. I just have to click the Undue arrow circle on the ribbon to keep going back to the same locked cell.
7. I can not do any work in the workbook because I can not escape from the cell.
8. If I move to a blank page in the workbook the locked cell follows me. If I then delete the blank page the cell jumps back to the page it came from.
9. Driving me crazy. Espicall because this is a critical workbook.
Please help. Thank you.

SolutionIt sounds like you might have 'Extend Mode' enabled by accident. If this mode is on the status bar will show:
Press F8 to disable Extend Mode.
