Excel on a Mac cell reference

I'm working with multiple sheets in the same workbook, and when I click in the formula bar of a cell referencing a cell in another sheet it should take me to that sheet so I can confirm I'm pulling the correct cell, but it does not. When I click in the formula bar it just shows me the text and doesn't take me to that sheet. I need to be able to confirm without actually having to go to each sheet and look up the cell individually. Please help! On a Windows computer I would check cells like this without problem.
