Excel Multiple Select Data Validation

Hello! I have a column of data that I data validated, but I wanted it to be multiple select. When I used the developer tool to make it multiple select, all the data points that have multiple inputs now have error messages and I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this. The error messages are vague and just says "data validation error."
