Excel live does not scroll anymore since a week or so - Firefox 114 and 120, Linux
Hello,
I use an onedrive.live,com/edit link to edit a cloud excel file.
Since about a week or more I cannot scroll anymore using my Firefox browser. It used to be 114 but I upgraded it to 120.
System is Linux.
When I say I cannot scroll, it is NOT only mouse interaction.
Just using arrow keys the selected cell gets "out of the screen" without scrolling.
Regards,
Vlad

If you are experiencing issues with scrolling in Excel Online using Firefox on Linux, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
- Clear Browser Cache and Cookies:
Clearing the browser cache and cookies can often resolve issues related to browser storage. In Firefox, you can do this by going to Options > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data.
- Check for Browser Updates:
Ensure that your Firefox browser is up to date. Sometimes, compatibility issues can be resolved by updating to the latest version.
- Try a Different Browser:
Test whether the issue persists in a different browser. If it works in another browser, it may be a Firefox-specific issue.
- Use a Private Browsing Window:
Try accessing Excel Online in a private browsing window to rule out any extensions or settings that might be causing the problem.
- Disable Browser Extensions:
Some browser extensions can interfere with the functionality of web applications. Try disabling extensions one by one and testing Excel Online after each disable to identify if an extension is causing the issue.
- Adjust Firefox Hardware Acceleration:
Open Firefox and go to Options > General.
Scroll down to the Performance section.
Uncheck "Use recommended performance settings" and then uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available."
- Check Excel Online on a Different Device:
Test whether the issue persists on a different device. This helps determine if the problem is specific to your Linux machine.
- Try a Different Microsoft Account:
If possible, try accessing the Excel file with a different Microsoft account to see if the issue is account-specific.
Keep in mind that software and web services are continuously updated, and issues may sometimes arise due to compatibility or changes in the software. The text and steps were edited with the help of AI.

- vlad585Copper ContributorThanks for your reply. It doesn't work on Chrome either and I believe it's a software regressiion on Excel side. I don't find where to post such bugs or a support link other than this conmunity..
Feedback portal which is monitored by Microsoft is here Excel · Community (microsoft.com)
Or in Excel for web Help->Feedback->Report a problem.
As for an issue, I'd try to sign-out from all opened in browser Office apps, sign-in again, first in incognito mode.
In my case scrolling works, I'm on Vivaldi.
