I'm using VB.NET not VBA, don't think this is an option.

Doesn't Excel Interop use the same objects, methods and properties as Excel VBA?

Unzip your excel file using "The Unarchiver" or something similar on windows.
Goto the xml file: /Book1/xl/worksheets/sheet1.xml
(path name and file name might be different based on your excel file name and sheet name).
Open the xml using some online formatter. Did you see "t=array"? if so, just write it as an array formula will work.
something like worksheet.cell(xxx).ArrayFormula = $""....
