Excel Gantt Chart Date Display

Hi, I'm using a Gantt Chart for my project and would like to mark out the milestones such as meetings and presentations on specific dates. I initially filled the column underneath the relevant date with a colour. However, when i change the display week, the colour-filled column remains in the same place. How can I make it attached to the same date even when changing the display week?
