Excel Chart question: Notes that move with data point
I have an Excel chart in the form of a line graph. I would like to make a note with an arrow that points to a particular data point. But I would like that note and arrow to be anchored to that data point, so that if I change the value of that data point, or add additional data points after it, the note and arrow will move with that data point. I know I can use the Text Box and Line Arrow features in "Insert Shapes". But is there some way to tie them to the data point so that they will move with it?
In addition, if you select Show Leader Lines you may format the lines as desired, e.g.
Mike_AgranoffYou can fix a note to a data point by using the Value from Cells setting from Data Lables.
Unfortunately this will not help with the arrow. But it provides a symbol way of getting notes next to a data point whether it be a column or line chart.
