Excel 2016 filename extension no longer showing in footer
When I add the path and filename to the footer of an excel worksheet (using excel 2016), the filename extension is no longer showing. How can I get the filename extension back in the filename when adding path and file to the header/footer?

Assuming that you are on Windows:
Start File Explorer.
On the View tab of the ribbon, click Options.
Activate the View tab.
Clear the check box 'Hide extensions for known file types'.
Click OK.
