Equation on Excel
Hi, how to stick an equation inside a cell, instead of floating on outside?
Equations created by clicking Equation in the Symbols group of the Insert tab of the ribbon are always floating objects.
But you can do the following:
- Hold down the left Alt key while moving and resizing the equation to that it exactly fits in a cell.
- Right-click the equation and select Format Shape... from the context menu.
- In the Format Shape task pane, click Size & Properties.
- Expand Properties, and select 'Move and size with cells'.
- The equation should now behave as if it's part of the cell (although it isn't).

- ExcelworksprogramsCopper ContributorHave u tried format cells and shrink to fit?
- Hemed09hsCopper ContributorYeah, I tried, It doesn't work because the equation is not associated with any cell, it just floats on them. Try inserting an equation in excel sheet you'll see how it appears.
