Empty rows in excel

Copper Contributor

Hello,

My spreadsheet has 1,048,263 rows. I only have data in 282 rows. How can I get rid of the other 1,047,981 rows? All the suggestions I have found online don't work. For example, I did this:

"On the Home tab, in the Editing group, click the arrow next to the Clear button, and then click Clear All.

Save the worksheet

Close the worksheet

When you open the workbook again, the last cell of the data should be the last cell on the worksheet."

But it didn't work.

Thanks.

Go to the first blank row below your data. Press Ctrl+Shift+End to select the blank rows. Press Ctrl+MinusSign,R,Enter to delete the selected blank rows. Press Ctrl+S to save your workbook. Press Alt,F,C to close the workbook. Press Ctrl+O to open the same workbook. Press Ctrl+End, you should now be at the bottom right cell of your data.
