Easy way for Protecting sheets and allowing an editable cell

Is there an easy way to protect a sheet and allow 1 cell to be editable?

Step 1: unlock cell.

Select the cell that you want to be editable.

Press Ctrl+1 to activate the Format Cells dialog.

Activate the Protection tab.

Clear the Locked check box.

Click OK.

 

Step 2: protect sheet.

Activate the Review tab of the ribbon.

Click 'Protect Sheet'.

Use the check boxes to specify what the user can do. At the very least, leave the check box 'Select unlocked cells' ticked.

If you wish, enter a password that will be needed if you want to unprotect the sheet later on. Do not forget this password!

Click OK. If you provided a password, you will have to re-enter it as comfirmation.

 

Step 3: save the workbook.
