Does newer versions of Excel allow structured references to table columns for chart creation?

Copper Contributor

I understand this was not possible in earlier versions of Excel. Just wondering if this has been addressed since then. So I would like to use a structured reference when creating the chart to a table column/field. Hoping that would be an easier solution to have a dynamic range than having to do the old offset workaround.

No, when you enter a structured reference in the Select Data dialog, Excel will convert it to a cell reference. But if you create a chart from a table, the source range will expand and contract automatically with the table.

@Hans Vogelaar thanks, that seems to do the trick!
