My excel will not sort more than 2 columns.  How can I correct this?

Let's start with a more complete description.

When you say it won't sort more than 2 columns, do you mean

  • if the table (area to be sorted) has three or more columns, only two of them will be sorted?
  • I can only specify two columns as the basis for the sorting, a primary and secondary?
  • something else?

What version of Excel are you working with? Are you sorting using the SORT function, or the little diamonds at the top row, in the header?
