What do you mean "it doesn't fit"? Excel can't tell the currency of the amounts in a csv. Even if the amount comes in as "$100,000", it will be seen as a text. You need to get rid of the $-sign, probably also the comma. Only then you will have a number that you can format with a $-sign.
- Assuming you have $ as your Regional Currency format. If you want to change it to euro currency; or vise versa:
1. Type in Control Panel on your computer
2. In Regional Settings, click Change Date, Time and Currency format
3. Click on Additional Settings below
4. Select Currency tab
5. Select euro symbol from the Currency dropdown
6. Click OK
Note, you may have to repeat steps 5 and 6 twice to have the changes. - Hello,
Kindly save the file in Excel Workbook; not CSV.
To confirm the currency in your regional setting, select any cell with number and deploy CRTL + SHIFT + 4.
