Cross Reference in Excel

I feel like an idiot for not knowing this, but I am brand new to trying to learn excel and I can't find a video on youtube to help me figure out what I'm trying to do. This is the task I have been given:

"I need Sheet 2 updated to include only the locations represented in sheet 1.  Do a cross reference to pull the Contract_ID, Contract_Name, and Vendor_Name into Sheet 2 for any member on both sheets.  Also make sure that the complete address is included.  Once that data is mined down upon, please copy out and save that data in a new excel file."

I can't share the data that I am looking at, but if anyone could at least point me in the right direction of formulas I need to use for this. I feel like everything I've looked at doesn't actually apply to what I need to do. Maybe if it was just worded differently? I am so lost and my job is dependent on this.

ECarver1016Hi, it is very difficult to help you without data; would it be possible to replicate the headers in the same columns/rows etc but change the content to something fictional? You could just type in AAA BBB or @#%@%%^%^$$ if you want to. It doesn't matter. We just need the header and that would already be of much help.

I could point you in direction of vlookup and index/match but that may not even be warranted depending on number of data you have.
