Control+Option+Return Not Working
Hello,
I am attempting to enter a line break in excel on my MacBook and the keyboard shortcut control+option+return is not working. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Try "fn-option-enter". That worked for me
- command + shift + enter worked for me. None of the other options listed here worked. Im using Excel 16.70 on a MacBook Pro.
Ravireddy 'option' + 'enter' works.
Meghan96 I have the same problem, but intermittent. This seems to have happened when upgrading to latest Excel through O365....
Don't forget to apply Wrap Text to the cell(s)
SergeiBaklan I have tried the "control + option + enter" combo and ensured the wrap text but it isn't working. It is not breaking the entries into their own lines. Any other ideas?

Just to make sure you follow these steps to insert a new line break
Here are the steps to start a new line in Excel Cell using the shortcut in Mac
- Double click on the cell where you want to insert the line break.
- Place the cursor where you want to insert the line break.
- Hold Control and Option keys and hit the Enter key.
