Conditional Formatting/Formula Help

Copper Contributor

Hi all

I'm a novice when it comes to excel and was hoping for some help with conditional formatting and creating a formula. I have 3 sheets with similar layouts but different rows need to 'greyed out' depending on the number inserted at the beginning of the row. All numbers are 6 digits long with the constants being 53,54,61,62,71,72.

I think I have attached said sheets for anyone wishing to work their magic.

Many Thanks in Advance!

Daren

We cannot see your local hard disk...

Please upload your workbook to OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox, share it and paste a link to the uploaded file in a reply.

I get "Sorry, an error has occurred".

If you wish, you can send me a private message (click on my user picture) and attach the workbook to the message.

I have received your PM.

Select the range from C5 to the lower right corner of the used range - its location depends on the sheet.

C5 should be the active cell in the selection.

On the Home tab of the ribbon, click Conditional Formatting > New Rule...
Select 'Use a formula to determine which cells to format'.
Enter the formula

=OR($B5=530000,$B5=540000,$B5=610000,$B5=620000,$B5=710000,$B5=720000)

Click Format...
Activate the Fill tab.
Select the desired background color.

If you wish you can also select a text color on the Font tab.
Click OK, then click OK again.
