Conditional Formatting based on cell value for individual rows

Hi All,

I want to be able to enter a "y" in a cell then have it fill another cell on the same row in blue. I have this working already but on a row by row basis, is there a way to apply the formatting once to the entire

sheet?

So it ths spreadsheet if "y" is entered in cell Z254 cell C254 is filled in blue and then repeated for each row.

I do have these formatting rules on the spreadsheet but it is all getting a bit messy and could do with it been under one rule if its possible or does it have to be a new rule per row?

Many thanks in advanced.

Open the CF Rules manager again, delete all the rules except for one which points to a single row (or cell). Then open that rules manager again, click in the "Applies to", clear it and then select all cells you want this rule to apply to.
