Changing Excel PowerPivot Data Source Connection from Access to SQL
Hello!
I have a bunch of spreadsheets set up to use PowerPivot with an Access database as the external data source. I'd like to change this to use a SQL database as the external data source. It's faster and doesn't have multi-user issues on our network.
When I go into Existing Connections, I can highlight the current data source connection and use "Edit". But Edit is looking for another Access database, not a SQL Server database. I can create a connection to SQL, but all the tables are already defined in the Access connection. If I try to delete those, it says it will break connections.
Is there an easy way to do this?
