Change Currency for entire Excel

Copper Contributor

Hi there,

I am in Germany and using the latest 2016 Excel on my Mac. I have changed the region of my laptop to the UK, however, my Excel is still showing European numbers with commas instead of a period for separators.

I have no File>option on my computer, which is what posts say about the previous excel versions.

Could someone please help to point me in the correct direction.

Hello, bases on your Subject matter, to permanently change the currency,
Control Panel > Additional Settings > Currency tab > Select desired Current Symbol > Apply and OK

With regards to the comma and period you also talked about... You can make that changes in the Number tab of the text given earlier

@spotmm Go back to the Language & Region settings for you Mac. That's where you changed the region to UK. In the bottom-left corner, press "Advanced...". Then you should see the screen as shown below. Make sure that you have the grouping and decimal settings how you want them. Press OK. Close and re-open Excel. That should do it.
