Cell value determined by value selected in another cell.
I`m trying to set up a calculator for assisting with costing projects, so what I want to be able to do is select an option from a drop down box and depending on the value selected it will automatically populate a cell with the cost i.e If I select 25t crane I want the hourly rate for a 25t crane to populate the rate cell. I have the drop down part sorted its getting the rate cell to populate depending on the selection that I can work out.

Shane_1977 Use any of Excel's lookup functions. If you are on a modern version, use XLOOKUP. Otherwise, VLOOKUP or INDEX combined with MATCH will do it for you.
Obviously, you need a table, listing all options and their rates.
