Cant edit headers and footers in the online version of excel
The online version of Excel, particularly the one accessible through a web browser (such as on a Chromebook), may have limited features compared to the desktop version of Excel. As of that time, the ability to edit headers and footers directly in the online version might not have been available, so far I know.
Check for updates or changes. Keep in mind that Microsoft continually updates its Office Online suite, and new features or improvements may be introduced.
Here is how you can typically check for headers and footers in the Excel Online version:
- Open your Excel workbook in the online version.
- Navigate to the "Insert" tab on the ribbon.
If you do not see an option for headers and footers there, it is likely that the online version does not support direct editing of headers and footers as of the current version. In such cases, you might need to access a desktop version of Excel for more advanced features.
Remember, Microsoft's online suite evolves, so checking the latest documentation or community discussions will provide the most accurate information. If headers and footers are crucial for your work, you might want to consider alternative solutions or accessing Excel from a device that supports the full desktop version.
