Cannot see old files

Since i upgraded to Office 2016 i have trouble opening Excel files from My Documents. If i get an email with an Excel file - it will not open. i can go into old emails and open workbooks from the...

Dilip - I can open files if i open excel from online. i cannot open them from the desktop, or from my "My Documents" files
