CANNOT get a scatterplot no matter how I try
I have used Excel for decades and am used to setting up a scatterplot by selecting two columns, and inserting a graph. Now I can't do it. Excel wants to force me into a line graph and then gets confused when I try to set the data values to reflect x and y coordinates.
The help is of no-use because 90 % is about format, DON'T CARE. I want my graph!! Is it possible that the people who revised Excel don't know what a scatter plot looks like?

BillyGates2 What version of Excel and OS and stuff might help but you should be able to find scatter plot under Insert -> Charts -> and select the scatter plot option:
