Can't find Power Query tool in Excel for Mac?!
Hi there, hope you are well.
I've just bought Office for Mac and I'm struggling with finding the Power Query tool in Excel as described here:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/import-and-shape-data-in-excel-for-mac-power-query-7b2f337d-e7d2-4fdf-bf00-3dfbb1e5e9c5#ID0EBF=Microsoft_365
I've enabled 'Beta Channel' as the 'Update Channel' as described here:
https://insider.office.com/en-us/join/Mac
-but that didn't help and the Power Query tool still isn't visible in my Excel.
Please can someone help me? I really need this tool urgently and it was the only reason I bought Excel.
Thanks in advance and all the best,
Jonas
Riny_van_Eekelen Thanks for connecting me with jskafte!
After discussing this with jskafte, the following steps have solved the issue:
1. Sign out from your Office account (in the Excel for Mac app)
2. Close Excel by right-clicking on the Excel app on the Dock and pressing "Quit"
3. Re-open Excel and Sign in back to your Office account
Thanks

Update: Microsoft Office 2024 Home & Business". (one time more expensive office product) seems to have support for this on mac.
If you need to open a query go to Data > Get Data (Power query) more options little button > Data Source Settings.

jskafte PQ for the Mac is generally available now (see blog article in the link below) but only for MS365 subscribers. Are you one?
- jskafteCopper ContributorHi there Riny_van_Eekelen – many thanks for your response!
I've just bought a 'Microsoft 365 Family' subscription for the sole purpose of being able to use the Power Query tool. Is a 'Microsoft 365 Family' subscription not sufficient?
Many thanks!- Riny_van_EekelenPlatinum Contributor
jskafte I would think so, but I'm no expert on all the different MS licenses. Here's another link:
