break links excel
Dear all,
I need your help, I tried to break a link in my excel file but it still there.
How can i remove definitely the link ?

- Patrick2788Silver ContributorIf the links won't break, it's likely they're present not in formulas but potentially Named items, Data Validation sources, or even through macro buttons being assigned to macros in external workbooks.
You may try FindLink (manville.org.uk) , it's safe and practically is industry standard
- ecovonreinIron ContributorBreak Links is a PITA. It is buggy as hell. BUT assuming that your sheet has not fallen victim to its many bugs, the biggest issue are Named Ranges. You must delete those yourself. (It won't do it for you EVEN THOUGH it will replace all references to those names with values.
