Beginner practice data analysis: Sorting through job titles
Hello, I'm a beginner to using Excel and want to work towards Data Analytics.
I was experimenting with a dataset for data science and analytics positons (for practice purposes).
In this dataset there are a multitude of different positions, listed by Jr, senior, and N/A(not identified). The problem is that they determined this on the dataset based on whether the title explicitly at jr or senior in it.
I used chatGPT to compile a list of positions from the dataset and re-order it by ACTUAL position (instead of whether the title mentioned jr or senior). The list is small, but theoretically if it were bigger, how would you re-organize the original dataset based off the list given to you?
here's a list of entry level positions that may be helpful?
Associate Data Scientist,
Data Analyst I,
Jr. Business Data Analyst,
Jr. Data Engineer,
Business Intelligence Analyst I- Data Insights,
Patient Safety- Associate Data Scientist,
Developer III - Data Science,
Computer Scientist 1
Also, I'd like to know whether something like this would be expected of me on a real job or case?
