Add Selected data 3D maps greyed out.

Hi all,

I have spent already a full day on the internet to find a solution to my problem. All in vain. Can one of you guys help me out?

I can open 3D maps, but I can no longer add data. The function used to work but is now greyed out.  I can still play around with maps if data is already added, but I can not make any new workbooks.

All COM add-ins are checked, and I even scrubbed and reinstalled Office 2016, but it did not solve the problem.

Make sure your file is saved as an excel workbook (.xlsx) If it is saved as a .csv or other non-workbook type 3D maps will not be available.
