@josh_bodner -- Here is hoping sync is fixed this time.

@josh_bodner, I couldn't update Microsoft Edge.
The same screen keeps appearing each time I restart, like, 5 times.

@josh_bodner Desktop/push notification doesn't work on all websites, I'm using Ubuntu 20.04

@Kam Yup, that happens sometimes if you check for an update right after we release it. For some reason, the browser knows there's an update sooner than it can actually download it!

@moghaazi We made a potential fix for this that should be in tomorrow's Canary, so let me know if you're still seeing it after that.

@josh_bodner "We hope you have very happy holidays, and we’ll see you in the new year!"
You and the rest of the team as well. You've done a remarkable job of moving Edge along this year.
I'm hoping that Edge Linux syncing will be enabled relatively early next year, and I'm hoping that Edge Linux will, when stable, be released as a Snap and/or a Flatpak as well as .deb and .rpm packages.
The need for syncing is obvious -- what purpose would Edge otherwise serve for the target Edge Linux audience, Windows/Linux cross users? The need for Snap/Flatpak release is less obvious, but it exists because a significant number of Windows/Linux cross users use Linux distributions (e.g. Arch-based distros like Manjaro or independent distros like Solus or Clear Linux) that don't support .deb or .rpm packages. Almost all Linux distros now support Snap, Flatpak or both.
I'm also hoping that Microsoft will put a platform comparison table on the Edge website at some point, allowing cross-platform Edge users to understand which features are available on each platform, and which are not. Right now, it is something of a crapshoot to figure out which Windows features are enabled on Android, iOS and Linux, and a comparison table would be a great help.

@josh_bodner I saw Smart Copy mentioned on the Welcome page after I updated Dev to 89.0.731.0 but it doesn't look like it's available yet. Is that being slowly rolled out under an experiment?
Also, the CTRL+SHIFT+X keyboard shortcut collides with the default for 1Password's extension. I know the extension shortcut can be customized, but I'm curious if the Smart Copy shortcut can be customized as well. If not it looks like I'll have to retrain the muscle memory for 1Password to something else.
Looks like a great new feature, and I'm looking forward to trying it out. Thanks, and enjoy your holiday break!

@schumatt Yup, looks like it's taking a little longer than we anticipated to roll it out to 100% of Dev, but I asked the feature owners when to expect it to be.

@moghaazi Just to confirm, what's your version number? Today's Canary is 736, which should have the potential fix.
