Modern Team Site Pages Checking Themselves In/Out Issue?
Hi Everyone; I've just had a message from someone in the organization I work for who is having an issue with their Team site that I haven't come across before. A few of them have edit access, one of them logged in and saw that the front page, their home page, was checked out for editing by a certain person so that no-one else could edit it, but the person it was saying had checked it out hadn't actively (or at leats meant to) check it out. The owner managed to override it and check it back in, but now only one person can edit it at a time.
I've been having a play around in my own test team site, and couldn't check the home page out from the home page itself. however, when I went to the 'pages' area in the menu I could see that you can check pages in and out. I checked out a test page, edited that and saved, but it didn't give me the option to check it back in. So I went back to the 'pages' area to check it back in, and it was saying that it had been checked in, but now my home page was checked out and I had to check it back in.
Any idea what is going on with the checking in and out of pages? Is it a case of that checking out any page automatically checks out the home page? As I said, the person in question was editing the page in question from the page itself, rather than having gone through the 'peages' area so I am struggling to see how they could have even accidentally checked out the home page. Is this a glitch, or is there a process i'm not aware of here?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
