Drag and Drop Feature & Limitation

Dear All,

We tried to migrate documents from Shared File Server to SharePoint using drag and drop feature to document library. 

Unfortunately the documents are not being copied in the subfolder & sub-subfolders.

We hold the 1st level of folder (including subfolders in this folder) and drag to document library. 

Does SharePoint think that it's considered as a single file? Hence the limitation will be in 10 GB?

Please advice and help.

I don't recommed you to use Drag & Drop to migrate your documents because you can find issues and in case of errores, the troubleshooting can be complex. Might I ask why you are not using the SharePoint Migration Tool (It's free and perfect for this scenario)?

Hi @Juan Carlos González Martín, 

I could MS Migration Tool, but the power users want to migrate the document themselves as they know the documents better in terms of metadata info plus I have not been given the access to Shared Folder.

They prefer to use drag and drop feature instead of upload\multiple upload or tool.
