That is the point of the post @SusanMc - Teams or Group creation has never created any plan automatically. The act of clicking on the Group, listed under All plans was actually creating the Plan. Now you can just use the new plan option from the dialog you show. Best regards, Brian

When creating a new Microsoft Team, doesn't it automatically create a Planner. Before this change, to be able to view the existing plans in teams the team owner would need to open the Planner hub, click on All Plans, see the new Team plan. Then return to Team, add tab for Planner and the Existing pl...

Great idea. Unfortunately the aka.ms link to the PowerShell doesn't seem to work and just takes you to the main Microsoft.com page.
