Microsoft

In December 2017, we announced new calling capabilities in Teams including full featured dialing, calling history, hold/resume, speed dial, transfer, forwarding, extension dialing, multi-call handling, simultaneous ringing, and voicemail.

We continue making the service available for more customers by adding calling plans for additional countries. Today we are announcing the Calling Plan Preview for Canada.

To preview the service, please visit Skype Preview and register your organization. During the registration process, you will be able to express your interest in participating in the Calling Plan Preview for Canada. If your organization is already registered, you may now log in and express interest in participating in this preview program. Microsoft will review entries and based on the needs of the preview, begin on-boarding customers who are qualified. We appreciate your patience during this process. Please email skypeexp@microsoft.com if you have any issues with registration.

In order to preview Calling Plan for Canada, customers must have our Phone System (formerly Cloud PBX), which is included with the Microsoft 365 E5 plan and available as an add-on to other plans. The preview team will also issue a trial key for Phone System should you need one as well. Please note that Calling Plans work with Teams and Skype for Business Online - so feel free to trial with either product.

Phone System and Calling Plans in Office 365 together enabling calling for your organization, giving each user a primary phone number for making and receiving phone calls. This solution also allows your organization to shift away from expensive telephony hardware to simplify the management of your phone system.
