HOW TO: If cell contains specific text that is part of a different list then return specific text

I'm using Excel 2016 and I have successfully locked all cells except for a few that need data entry.  My sheet contains several text boxes.  When I select all, and lock all cells, then manually unlock those few cells, the text boxes don't lock. I do NOT want anyone to be able to edit the text in those boxes.  If I right click on the box, go to Size and Properties, the Print Object, Locked and Lock Text boxes ARE checked, yet after protecting the sheet I can still edit the text in all text boxes.  Any ideas?  Thank you!
