Excel spreadsheet importing sheet

Hey all,

I have stumbled across an issue I am hoping that someone can help me with.  I have a 3 sheet spreadsheet i have created.  First sheet is a legend that pulls data from sheet1 (sheet2) and sheet 3 then runs my sequencing.  The issue i am having is that when i delete sheet1 (sheet2) and import another sheet with the exact colums and rows just different data, my sheet1 formulas all fail and i get the #ref! error.  

Im talking about a tonne of data here.  my end goal is to be able to create a legend from 100s of different sheet 2's.  

Can anyone help?

That is how Excel works. To avoid this problem, do not delete the sheet, but instead replace the content of the sheet with new content (for example paste cells copied from another sheet into Sheet2)
