Event details
Join us for a special Ask Microsoft Anything (AMA) live video stream across four Microsoft content collaboration products: SharePoint, OneDrive, Lists, and Stream! Our product teams will be answering your questions about future roadmap and recent innovation – and offering insights on what to expect in the coming months.
Each team will present five minutes of content to catch you up on the highlights, and to spark what questions you might ask, and then have 10-15 minutes to take your questions. Post your questions at any time – starting your question with the product name to help us navigate it to the right experts; example: “SharePoint: How will Copilot help me create pages and news in the future?”
This is a great opportunity to get answers to any questions you may have from recent Microsoft 365 Conference (May 2-4, 2023) disclosures: Review Jeff Teper’s May 2nd (5/2) blog post.

- Rhys WilliamsIron ContributorLists: Are the features in this video the same in SharePoint lists? Or only within the Lists app itself?

- Colleen ParkerBrass ContributorLists: Different forms for same list is HUGE! Thank you!!!
- uUUsuBBRLvsjhFW7Iron ContributorSharePoint List: will we ever be able to group items by a multi-value column?
- KasperLarsenIron ContributorWould that make sense? A multi person field would contain "Andy, Brian" and possibly "Brian, Andy". To you and I those are logical identical, but not in a software context.
- jrbptIron ContributorI suppose the big decision to make would be which group to show the item in, and whether to show it in both groups. Software should be pretty good at identifying when sets of data contain the same items, no?
- aka8941Copper ContributorLists: If you have a list on one site, you can't embed it on another. Are there any plans to allow displaying lists across different sites?
- CaroleSLIron ContributorI use the Bitalus List Search web part. A bit geeky but great functionality.

- JZMartinezCopper ContributorAs it relates to Retention Labels in SharePoint Online/OneDrive can we get a column that shows when an item is going to expire. This used to be available on-prem, but now the column isn't populated.
- KWarlinCopper ContributorQuestion I get a lot about version control - what happens when two or more people are making edits? How are versions / edits captured?
- Paul Van BeekBrass ContributorThe Add to OneDrive has been very problematic in our environment. The Sync function has always worked more cleanly for us. Just a comment, not a question.
- Phill HodgkinsonCopper ContributorCouldn't agree more, the Add to OneDrive is a terrible option and we disable it as well across every single client we support. One of the main issues is that users often have 100's of files and folders in their OneDrive folder and now a Document library link gets lost in the mix. The transition from Mapped drives to SharePoint was super easy when all your Sync'd libraries lived under one clean area that we can control from Intune. Not being able to do that will be a nightmare both for end users and IT Admins.

I appreciate the comment. Please feel free to give us feedback here: https://aka.ms/feedback/onedrive - David_SwensonIron ContributorWe always disable this with PowerShell because it breaks File Explorer & Finder sync for our users.
- jrbptIron ContributorCan you elaborate on the issues you encounter? And also, any chance you have a link to the PowerShell cmdlet you use to disable this? I imagine we'll start running into this in our environment at some point, and would like to get ahead of this. Thanks!
