Event details
Join us for a special Ask Microsoft Anything (AMA) live video stream across four Microsoft content collaboration products: SharePoint, OneDrive, Lists, and Stream! Our product teams will be answering your questions about future roadmap and recent innovation – and offering insights on what to expect in the coming months.
Each team will present five minutes of content to catch you up on the highlights, and to spark what questions you might ask, and then have 10-15 minutes to take your questions. Post your questions at any time – starting your question with the product name to help us navigate it to the right experts; example: “SharePoint: How will Copilot help me create pages and news in the future?”
This is a great opportunity to get answers to any questions you may have from recent Microsoft 365 Conference (May 2-4, 2023) disclosures: Review Jeff Teper’s May 2nd (5/2) blog post.

- AndreeSBrass ContributorSharePoint Online Site Page: Do you are aware, that the people card is not rendering hovering on the people web part with guest user account?
- CaroleSLIron ContributorThere's an awful bug in the Org Chart web part that's terribly misleading for external users. We have multiple O365 enviros and it causes so many problems I've recommended not to use it.
- AndreeSBrass Contributoreven for internal users is not rendering!
- CaroleSLIron ContributorNor automatically refreshed; we had stale data for 10 days
- CaroleSLIron ContributorSharePoint - It would be great to support dynamic filtering in list web parts with more than 1 column, or make the filter panel available in list web parts. I had to build a really complex power app as a work around.
- uUUsuBBRLvsjhFW7Iron ContributorFurthermore, it would be nice to have URL parameter query to be passed on to dynamic filtering, like how the classic web part can, so we could create unique URL link to show the specific filtering.
- stuartmcgarrityBrass ContributorStream: When I make a video for internal consumption I usually do not care where I store it, like YouTube. I don't want to have to think about it and move my file somewhere. Stream Classic used this model and users in my company got used to it. What would your recommendation now for individuals? Should each used create their own generic video folders in OneDrive? Do we as a company, create a generic "Video" SharePoint site?
- Marc Mroz
Microsoft
I know this change is different than Stream (Classic) and YouTube. But it matches what users would have to do to share any other file in M365. So we are bringing videos to match the same mental models as other files. Our suggestion is that users start storing videos wherever makes the most sense to them in the flow of their other work. If they are sharing in a Viva Engage community they can just upload it to the post or Community directly. Or if it's part of a Teams team just upload the video there in the Files tab. If they already have a SP site for other related work upload them directly in the SP site. If it's not something that fits to some other team, community, site, then upload them to OneDrive. Folks just need to be okay with uploading videos and sharing them in M365 the same way they would any other file. It's different but people should be able to easily understand it once they get over the slight mental shift.- stuartmcgarrityBrass ContributorHi Marc, Thanks for following up. I'm still on the fence about the net benefit of these changes. With Stream on SharePoint, I have managed to do lots of cool things with my videos by now having access to the SharePoint REST API (get/set properties, transcripts). But this big model change will make it more awkward for many content creators. Its like if Google said "We have shutdown YouTube. Instead, simply upload videos to Google Drive folders and share them like files!" You *can* think of video as files but in my experience its common for many people not to. Its a shame we can't have the best of both worlds.

OneDrive - is there a way to redact documents?
- CaroleSLIron ContributorSharePoint - Can you please add a Tiles view to Lists? Galleries link to the items, not a hyperlink in the item I'd like to have them load. I found a work around in JSON but it doesn't wrap the tiles.
- jrbptIron ContributorSharePoint / OneDrive / M365 / Teams / Microsoft Search: Regarding Search analytics, is there any plan to improve the granularity of the Search analytics tabs in Admin Center? Currently it is difficult or impossible to differentiate between users' searches that are initiated from different pages. It would be great to be able to drill down / filter by different starting points, e.g., did the search originate in the SharePoint home page? Or our organizations portal on a different site? Or in OneDrive? Or in Outlook? Or in Teams? Or within some Office application? Or in Windows Cortana search? Or on Bing? A lot of these places are where our users search, and many do not currently have any analytics at all.
- ChanceD2Copper ContributorONENOTE - Why is the "create template" buried in the "Paper Size"? Please consider moving this. 2nd question, why doesn't OneNote share shortcuts from Office. Alt+I Alt+T should insert current date time.

ChanceD2 Hi There! This event is focused only around SharePoint, Stream, Lists, and OneDrive. I would suggest posting your question in an M365 discussion space - Microsoft 365 community
- CaroleSLIron ContributorSharePoint - Can you please add a form to populate properties when docs are uploaded to a library (like the on prem experience)?
- CaroleSLIron ContributorSharePoint - Can you bring back the normal paragraph spacing in text web parts on pages please? Perhaps add a new style without spacing?
- uUUsuBBRLvsjhFW7Iron ContributorSharePoint Online Site Page: when will the full-width section become available to sites other than the Communication site?
- HelenaStarenbyKnowitBrass ContributorHopefully never? There are too few differences between team sites and communication sites as it is.
- uUUsuBBRLvsjhFW7Iron ContributorA lot of us have built SPO sites since 2016 and when Teams site was introduced, and migrating to Communication sites will cost us a lot more resources. It would be nice to have this new feature supporting the existing sites.
