Event details
Join us for a special Ask Microsoft Anything (AMA) live video stream across four Microsoft content collaboration products: SharePoint, OneDrive, Lists, and Stream! Our product teams will be answering your questions about future roadmap and recent innovation – and offering insights on what to expect in the coming months.
Each team will present five minutes of content to catch you up on the highlights, and to spark what questions you might ask, and then have 10-15 minutes to take your questions. Post your questions at any time – starting your question with the product name to help us navigate it to the right experts; example: “SharePoint: How will Copilot help me create pages and news in the future?”
This is a great opportunity to get answers to any questions you may have from recent Microsoft 365 Conference (May 2-4, 2023) disclosures: Review Jeff Teper’s May 2nd (5/2) blog post.

- Dennis HarrisonCopper ContributorOneDrive - Is there a timeline to fix the OneDrive sync sign in issue on Windows 11? I had a case open with MS support and they said a fix was coming for this but didn't have an ETA.

We are doing work here to ensure the best experience. Today the Silent Account Configuration policy is still needed for commercial accounts. but we will soon be able to roll out Automatic Account Configuration for commercial accounts. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/use-group-policy#silently-sign-in-users-to-the-onedrive-sync-app-with-their-windows-credentials- Dennis HarrisonCopper ContributorHere is the fix I found for this issue. 1. go to your Sharepoint admin center -> Settings ->OneDrive Sync and note down your domain GUID. 2. Login to affected device and go to registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\OneDrive 3. Under above key, if AADJMachineDomainGuid key name is not present then create it and provide your Domain GUID which you copied in step 1 as a value to this key name. 4. Close registry
- Colleen ParkerBrass ContributorStream: Is there a way to turn on Analytics ONLY for Owners, not for Visitors for a video?
- Marc Mroz

If you go to video settings on a video you can toggle off Analytics. That should turn off the analytics tab for viewers but leave it there for people who have edit access to the video.
- Rhys WilliamsIron ContributorSharepoint/Lists - Where is the line between a SharePoint List and a Microsoft Lists List? What's the difference?
- uUUsuBBRLvsjhFW7Iron Contributor
Just append string "?env=WebViewList" to the URL of any SPO List, then the List is shown as Microsoft List.
Ref: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/community/query-string-url-tricks-sharepoint-m365 - glodevCopper ContributorWould like to second this. It seems like there is a nice user friendly interface for Microsoft Lists, and then if you dig into the SharePoint view you can do more (I recall finding the ability to create a Gantt view) but less user friendly which I think would be a hurtle for my team.
- HariniSaladiFormer EmployeeHi Rhys! Like we like to say "Lists are lists are lists"! Microsoft Lists, as a product, encompasses SharePoint lists, the Lists app (web), lists in Microsoft Teams and the Mobile apps. There is only one Lists product, and the features you see, and use are all the same across all of these surfaces. The difference you are calling out might just be in the storage of the list. When you create a list in a SharePoint site, the list is associated with that site. When you create a List on the Lists app, and chose to store it as part of "My lists" - this list is standalone and is not connected to any sites. It is a personal list, similar to how you have personal files in OneDrive. Hope this helps!
- Al BergsteinCopper ContributorOneDrive: Can you advocate for a branding change to the OneDrive Sync app? I support a variety of clients and they have a very hard time wrapping their heads around OneDrive (which they don't really use, they use SharePoint) and the OneDrive app, that sometimes loses it's ability to sync, leaving them with no connection to their cloud storage. I hope in the rewrite of the tool you were able to find the cause of this. It seems to happen across a variety of machines running Windows. I don't seem to see the same issue on the Macs I support. I have reported it numerous times to the support line over the years.

There is no plan to change the Brand for OneDrive. I will say that our File Explorer integration has tried to be more personal by saying [User's Name] - [Tenant Name] in the left navigation. This naming is there to be more personal to user, but the name OneDrive is the M365 solution for files, so there is no plan to rebrand it. OneDrive powers all of the file scenarios for M365 including SharePoint.

(Stream) When will the Stream (classic) app from MS Teams be disabled? And when there will be a new app for Stream (on SharePoint)?
- Marc Mroz
Microsoft
We are working on it right now. We are going to replace the left rail app and the message compose app to work against Stream (on SharePoint). We don't have a timeline we can share but it's underway and hope to get it out as soon as we can.

@Dave Cohen (US), @Cathy Dew, in one of my projects i wanted to create a sharing link for specific external users for a document using sharePoint REST API,, but not sure which endpoint we need to use and which paramters we need to pass? and why this is not well documented ? Thanks
- john johnIron Contributor
Inside Power Automate, is it still fine/future-proof approach, to use Send Http Requests to SharePoint? or we should start using Graph API? in other words is SharePoint REST API going to be deprecated soon?
- KasperLarsenIron Contributor
SharePoint - (sort off) I have not been able to locate any information about when we will be able to update the query used for People search in Microsoft Search - the tab on the tenant level. Do you have any info to share - and sharing is caring 🙂
- KasperLarsenIron ContributorSharePoint: any plans for make it possible to specify which Content Type that should be the default on a FOLDER level? As Teams channels are represented as a folder in the default document library, this would aid us a lot when creating a good Information architecture in the Teams world 🙂
