Hi Rhys! Like we like to say "Lists are lists are lists"! Microsoft Lists, as a product, encompasses SharePoint lists, the Lists app (web), lists in Microsoft Teams and the Mobile apps. There is only one Lists product, and the features you see, and use are all the same across all of these surfaces. The difference you are calling out might just be in the storage of the list. When you create a list in a SharePoint site, the list is associated with that site. When you create a List on the Lists app, and chose to store it as part of "My lists" - this list is standalone and is not connected to any sites. It is a personal list, similar to how you have personal files in OneDrive. Hope this helps!
