Event details

AI is creating new opportunities for managed services providers (MSPs), but the opportunity goes beyond helping customers deploy the latest technology. As organizations adopt AI, they need ongoing help keeping their environments secure, governed, and ready for what comes next.

Join Dux Raymond Sy, 17-year Microsoft MVP and Regional Director, for a practical conversation about turning those needs into recurring services for your managed service practice. Dux will explore opportunities around AI trust and security, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Agent 365, and Microsoft Purview, and talk about how MSPs can build lasting customer value around them.

Drawing on more than 20 years at the intersection of technology, business, and leadership, Dux works with organizations and partners around the world to move from AI experimentation to execution with security, governance, data readiness, and people at the center.

Come ready for ideas you can take back to your business, plus the opportunity to learn and connect with fellow MSPs.

Thanks for participating in this October meetup for MSPs! Below are the questions answered during the live Q&A:

Question – Since you all are in this space, what tips do you have for finding the recurring streams? As a long term software engineer I know I have sites, forums and people that are invaluable to me. What resources are invaluable to you? – answered at 38:27.

Question – What AI opportunities are most MSPs overlooking right now? – answered at 44:15.

Question – Where are customers most likely to need ongoing help rather than a one-time deployment? – answered at 49:48.

Question – We're a smaller MSP, how do we get started without building an entirely new practice? – answered at 50:52.

Question – Any tips on how to communicate the value of an ongoing service when customers are used to paying for projects? – answered at 51:46.

  • Great session, Dux and Andy! The Assess → Protect → Govern model is the clearest path I've seen from one-off AI projects to recurring revenue. "Ask, don't pitch" and the 8 opening questions are going straight into my playbook. Curious: which tier do most MSPs struggle to sell, and why?

  • Welcome to today's Meetup for MSPs. Dux will be sharing some great insights, but we also want this to be a conversation. Post your questions here in the comments!

Great insights! AI adoption is creating huge opportunities for MSPs, but long-term success depends on security, governance, and operational readiness. Looking forward to hearing Dux’s perspective on building recurring services around Intune, Microsoft Purview, and AI trust.

Totally agree with you, Sanele. What stuck with me from Dux's session was that you don't even have to lead with "AI". Just start with data governance and oversharing cleanup, and the AI readiness part follows naturally. The agent inventory point was new for me too. Are you already offering Purview or Intune services to your customers? Would love to hear how it's going.
