Event details
We are very excited to announce a Microsoft Teams ‘Ask Microsoft Anything’ (AMA) specific to the new Microsoft Teams, announced at Enterprise Connect.
The AMA will take place on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. PT in the comment section below.
An AMA is a live online event similar to an “Ask Me Anything” on Reddit. This AMA gives you the opportunity to connect with members of the product engineering team who will be on hand to answer your questions and listen to feedback.

- johnzancanaroBrass ContributorIs there a timeline of when Teams 2.0 will have "like for like" features as the old Teams? Leaders in IT want to try it, but with it missing features, I feel cautious to show them the incomplete product yet.

- JNINOCopper ContributorI just started using this today and I had my dial pad and it was really cool then it updated, and I lost it. I have to go back to the old version for my dial pad to populate.

- EATech245Brass ContributorI have been on the preview now for two weeks. I see that the application is being updated on a daily basis however I am unable to see what is being updated. Could you please publish the changes made to each build and possibly a preview of when we can expect some of the functions to be made available in Preview that are still only available in the normal production platform. Example adding applications to Team channels.

HI Brendan - We update our https://aka.ms/NewTeams every week as well as our administrative documentation that is linked to from there. Changes are happening quickly however so we are doing it by higher level category as we march toward our general availability later this calendar year.
- nf-floydCopper ContributorCan you please share the plans for bringing the Manage API to Teams 2.0 - specifically the Stream Deck integration. When? What's the plan for additional actions like "accept call" etc.? I like that feature very much in the current Teams App and missing it in the new Teams App.

Hello Florian - We will make new announcements about our platform capabilities at Microsoft Build at the end of May. Once announced we hope that Stream Deck, who develops that integration, will take advantage of any new API's to improve the Stream Deck app. I love that as well so I hope they do!
- AlexReichelOccasional ReaderWill MS Teams 2.0 allow for multiple users?

Hello there... in order:
1. Later this calendar year we will get to feature parity with New Teams features
2. Our adoption strategy is very similar to all new capabilities. Use our resources at https://aka.ms/NewTeams to share the "faster, simpler and more flexible" messaging. From that page you can also see my video talking about New Teams benefits that you can use to identify the user communities who should have it first.
3. The best practice since we are still in preview is to release it to early adopters first and people who can understand switching back and forth with the toggle. Rolling it out to the rest of your organization can be based on their use of features that are not yet available. To learn more about this you can join our Champions program and hear more in our monthly meetings at https://aka.ms/M365Champions
4. Please refer to our https://aka.ms/NewTeams page for the overview and from there you can go into our administrative documentation for more details.
Thank you!
- MEMAdminCopper ContributorHow will the Device Install working? Currently the Teams Wide installer is more then a mess ... It dont Updates itself, the MSI is always in User mode (Intune LOB App) etc. We are Preprovisioning alle Devices with Autopilot and need Teams for alle Users that will use this Device. (M365 Apps for Enterprise with Teams, just installs also the Teams Wide Intaller that also not Update itself ...)

Hey there - This Teams MSIX will be a superset of our msi functionality in the future. In this new installer model Teams app is installed in program files and available to any user on that machine. Thanks for the question!
- Bertin_PeetersCopper ContributorWill it be possible to manage more features of the Call Queues and Auto Attendants in the new Teams client? In the current EA-version of the regular Teams client, there is already the option to change the different greeting messages, but we need more flexibility in letting users who are responsible for certain Auto Attendants to adjust the working hours and the redirect to other numbers after workhours without ICT intervention (like it was possible in Skype for Business for years by granting them access to the RGSConfig page. Not being able to do this in Teams is a huge setback in our current Skype for Business to Teams migration
- roman_frillarteFormer EmployeeThanks for the feedback, Bertin! I'll make sure the feature team has this feedback. You can also always share ideas for Microsoft Teams and vote/comment on others' ideas on the Feedback Portal at https://aka.ms/TeamsFeedback For others who read this, here's the link to the public preview which lets admins in Microsoft Teams grant permission to authorized users to update greetings on a call queue or auto attendant. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-public-preview/now-in-public-preview-user-managed-call-queue-and-auto-attendant/m-p/3797513
- fabnappCopper Contributorwill presenter modes like "standout" (the best!) be included soon?
