- How can we get into the driver management preview?
- hello You can get yourself added to the list by going to https://aka.ms/IntuneDriversPreview. Please note that getting added to the list doesn't guarantee that you will get the Driver management preview but you are added to the list for considering that
- The reports now only show for the "Feature/Quality updates for Windows 10 and later (preview)". But if you use normal rings, you can't use these reports. Will reports also become available to the configured rings? (or am I missing something?)

Rob, unfortunately it's very difficult to get the kind of specific per-device per-update reporting for the update rings that we have for feature and expedited updates. That said, we are looking very closely at how we can expand the kind of capabilities in feature and expedited updates to other update types, including the reporting. In Intune v2209 on the Devices > Windows > Update rings screen we cannot expand/resize the columns, particularly the "Name" column so we cannot see the full wording of our Ring names 😞
- Dave RandallHmm. I tested on my 2209 tenant and am able to resize the names column. Not sure what your specific issue might be.

- how does MS recommend doing updates where deployment optimization is not a good fit like small remote offices? We rely heavily on DP's and we want to move forward but internet traffic is not a good thing
- yes but not a good for small sites, the network group does not like using internet as more and more solutions require internet, downloading content impacts the business
- would be cool to have a property tags for dynamic groups who can call the windows 11 capable report in endpoint analytic > work from everywhere>Windows

- I have just read on Windows Insider they change the deferral starts counting from the time the update appears first on the device instead of release date of a CU. This causes more headache as people being OOF will patch much later than others and so compliance within a month is harder to reach. Why the change?
- David_GuyerHi Karl, The key reason for the change was because as we grow out support for Windows Update for Business deployment service, admins can start updates using Windows Update for Business on any day... so the device doesn't know when the update was first made available. This is especially true for Feature updates, but for quality updates consistency is also good for predictability. It does cause some longer timeframes for OOF devices, but for healthy devices will make sense. HTH, -DG
- Our HR department have staff on parental leave (what we used to call maternity leave) to take their work laptops with them, they claim it is a legal requirement. Whatever, the point it these machines get used infrequently for a year or more, and the users generally do not use our Cloud services so are not doing MFA. The upshot is we get terrible update compliance. The change above is unlikely to be helpful for us. Understand, our update compliance is measured from the release date of the patch, not when we make it available or when the laptop saw it. If the device can't tell when the patch was issued, maybe fix that instead???
- In update rings, it is unclear what "Upgrade Windows 10 devices to Latest Windows 11 release" does. Does that make a targeted device treat Windows 11 the same as a Windows 10 feature update?
- David_GuyerHi Jay, So that is covered here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/protect/windows-update-settings and when that setting is enabled, it will update any devices eligible for Windows 11 to Windows 11 (today it upgrades to 21H2, with Intune 2211 it will start upgrading to 22H2). Then, it automatically puts the Win11 devices back into "feature update deferral mode". HTH
