- wmadm90Brass ContributorThis isn't specific to the Intune Suite but specific to Danny's recent comment on moving Apps to Intune: I'd love to move my applications Intune, however the Intune app model is missing some critical features (uninstall for available apps, repair capability, multiple deployment types, 'blackout periods' for reboots/etc.). Is there any active plans to improve the App model in Intune to bring feature parity to what we have and need from CM?

Thanks for participating in the Tech Accelerator! For reference, the panel covered this topic at around 46:45.
- ZebSmithBrass ContributorPersonally, I feel that this should be given more focus. Why do we give end users a Windows device if not for the apps that are installed on it? If my users could do all of their work in a web browser, it would be much easier to distribute iPads instead.
- SimonYYCCopper ContributorUninstall for Win32 apps is coming: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/fundamentals/in-development
- Khullar1979Copper Contributoris there any plan to launch Intune portal app for mobile devices? such that the intune poral is avaibale as Azure App on mobile ?
- Brandon BeezholdCopper ContributorWill MSI support in EPM be ready by the time it goes GA?
- JaminAlmond
Microsoft
MSI support will be added at a later date. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/protect/epm-deployment-considerations-ki#what-files-can-be-elevated-to-administrator- Brandon BeezholdCopper ContributorI read that as well 🙂 was curious if there was any timeline.
- Stephen_DevlinBrass ContributorRegarding Multi-Admin Approval, Is there a timeline for the intergration of approving Config Profiles?
- nuchtmanCopper ContributorBubbling this question out from a reply/comment on another for visibility. We have a number of Android/Windows MTR devices already enrolled in Intune along with Surface Hubs. Curious if the Specialized device management feature (Intune plan 2/Intune Suite) is around enhanced/new features (and what that may consist of) or if it will be required to continue any Intune management of these device types.

Thanks for joining us for this event! We hope you enjoyed the content 🙂
- Is Intune gonna replace Configuration Manager?
- euburrag
Microsoft
No. Configuration Manager remains a key capability of the Intune family of products. We encourage organizations to migrate to the modern, cloud management capabilities available in Intune through tenant attach and co management if not yet ready to completely move to the cloud.
- lalanc01Iron ContributorHi, is there a place to see the list of applications that will be available with advanced app management and patching? thks
- JaminAlmond
Microsoft
Currently this list is not available. It will be published as part of Microsoft Intune documentation as we get closer to release.

We're a little over halfway through today's AMA. We have a question for you -- Are you enjoying the event? Share your feedback here in the Comments and help shape the direction of future Intune events on the Tech Community!
- ZebSmithBrass ContributorI appreciate events like these, but do sorely miss the in person gatherings at Ignite. You simply can't replace the networking opportunities allowed at such an event with online content.
- SimonYYCCopper ContributorThis is very useful and helps reinforce our strategic direction.
- Khullar1979Copper ContributorWill it be possible to update bios version for HP, Lenovo, Dell machines direct from Intune? Will there be any update to script section in Intune, such that administrator will be able to see the attached script, & make change in that ?
- KurtBMayerIron Contributor
The Driver and Firmware feature is slated to go into preview in May 2023, with general release later in the year.
- Shravana_Mukherjee
Microsoft
Yes, as long as the OEM is publishing the BIOS updates. Dell, HP, Lenovo, Surface, and some more are part of the Firmware class of drivers in our inventory today.
