- CaseyBIron ContributorCan we see in Intune for Windows devices -- the logged on user and even the recent logged on user history? This has always been hidden from the Devices blade. I realize the Primary User is there, but not the logged on user. This data is in the device graph -- why not show it?

Great question. We've heard the need here, and recognize that it's an important feature request. We'd like to implement sometime in the future, especially once we get over some of the privacy conversation surrounding user logins.
- Adrian_ScottCopper ContributorCan this new inventory feature be better integrated with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, to ensure the Vulnerability Management data is accurate and timely?
- Adrian_ScottCopper ContributorWoop - good to hear Thank You
- ercgoodmanBrass ContributorWill there be any ability to review inventory "history"? I.E. settings that have recently been changed since the last inventory cycle? Or do the values simply get overwritten during each cycle?

Microsoft
Hey Eric-- we'd love to implement this. It's not in our initial release, but we're gathering feature evidence to be able to implement in the future.
- JasonK805Copper ContributorWhat are some reasons why we wouldn't select all properties to get inventory information?
- ankurladCopper ContributorHow do we manage devices that report the same serial number between two vendors like a Dell Laptop Tag is same as a Acer Motherboard serial number?
- Jason_Sandys
Microsoft
Hi Ankur Lad. Can you be more specific? What challenge exactly does this pose? To Intune, this is just a data point and not used for anything specific. Management of the device is in no way dependent on this value. - Abby_Starr
Microsoft
Hey Ankur-- both devices will report the same serial numbers in inventory/device query. Intune creates a unique device ID for every device enrolled, so you'll still have a unique device identifier.

Will you please throw some light on the scores that endpoint analytics calculates from the inventory? How are they calculated and how actions can be taken to improve the scores?
- lyonsliamCopper ContributorWill there be a history on resources to monitor changes and give us information on devices for example if any hardware changed?
- Abby_Starr
Microsoft
Hey Liam-- Great question! We recognize how valuable of a scenario this would be. We won't support that in our initial release, but we're considering how we might support this in the future while also being respectful of privacy concerns.

Why focus on filters instead of dynamic groups? Wouldn't this lead to the need to create multiple duplicate groups given that there is a limit of 200 filters and you can only use one filter per group, like if I set a group with a filter for OS then I can't assign it again with a filter for model, so either the filter needs to be more specific, which might be an issue given the limit, or make a copy of the group and use a different filter. Or will the way filters work be changed, or the 200 filter limit be removed?
- Jason_Sandys
Microsoft
Peter answered this live, but just to answer it here, the main reason is because Entra has no path to accessing data in Intune. Additionally, there are built-in and by-design limitations in dynamic groups that make them less than optimal to use for targeting in many scenarios. Filters "side-step" these limitations and are far more flexible. We do have some improvements to make in the filter ecosystem for sure to be able to fully realize this.
- fazzodudeCopper ContributorIs there an API or connect that asset management systems can interface to pull in the inventory/analytics data automatically? If so, is there a specific format or list of asset management systems supported?
- Abby_Starr
Microsoft
Hey Kelly-- we do not support any connectors with 3rd party software for inventory/analytics data today.
