- Jan_PaapCopper ContributorSeveral functions you showed in outlook, like the "schedule a meeting" are missing from my app. Are there differences between NA and EU?
- GabeHoIron ContributorSome of these are features coming soon or in various stages of being rolled out, you can also track them from the roadmap https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Launched%2CIn%20development%2CMicrosoft%20Copilot%20for%20Microsoft%20365&searchterms=outlook
- SharonLyerlyCopper ContributorI'm on current channel in New Outlook, but do not have a Copilot icon in the top right banner. When will that functionality be available?
- ERobillardBrass ContributorDo you have a Copilot license? I'm also using New Outlook and have options to summarize threads, and the Copilot button to generate messages, etc. When starting a new message I get a "Type / to Draft with Copilot" message at the top of the message. But you do need a license assigned to see it.
- Bipin-prakashBrass ContributorAssuming you have a license applied to your user account, if you do not see it, you can try to force it by going to file, account, update license. Hopefully that will bring the copilot feature down. If that does not work and it has been more than 48 hours since license assignment, you might need to reinstall the M365 apps suite.
- SharonLyerlyCopper ContributorI do have a Copilot license- thanks, I'll try that
- Bipin-prakashBrass ContributorCould you elaborate on the differences between the "draft with copilot" and the copilot that is invoked from the ribbon? they seem to have different abilities (eg: The one on the side did not seem to be able to change the formatting on a table in word while the draft could).
- GabeHoIron ContributorHey Bipin, the "draft with Copilot" feature helps a user draft an email, similar to the feature in Word with the on-page prompt box.
- Lori_577Copper ContributorThis is wild. I'm an EA and I think I'll soon be out of a job 🙂
- Theresa_StearnsCopper ContributorCan it add rows of data? i.e.. I want to total column b and put a number at the bottom of the table. What is the prompt to make this happen?
- Alyson_Ginesta
Microsoft
Ask Copilot to complete the formula the same way you would ask a person and then iterate once you receive a response. Copilot works best using natural language and the prompt ingredients that we outlined earlier in the session.
- MarkTOccasional ReaderIf I'm joining a Teams meeting that is recording don't have transcription enabled, should I be able to use Copilot to provide a summary of the meeting whilst I'm in the meeting?
- Yana Terukhova
Microsoft
yes, correct, that is possible.
- walter-wodzienBrass ContributorWhen you accept a rewrite of copilot in word, and then ask it to look at the same text again, it will propose a different output, and it will loop like this forever. This can be confusing for users, it would be great if a suggestion is accepted it "knows" about it and stops suggesting more changes.
- After re-write, you have options to replace the original content, insert below the original content or regenerate. So unless you click on regenerate i dont it will loop.
- GabeHoIron ContributorThank you for your feedback on this! A great suggestion we'll take back to the team.

Does Copilot use the CC (Closed Captioning) in Teams for transcribing? How does Copilot overcome dialect issues and incorrect word interpretation?
- Alyson_Ginesta
Microsoft
The same speech-to-text tech is powering both closed captioning and transcripts, but transcripts are different in that they attribute the speaker name, have timestamps, can be referenced throughout the meeting, and are downloadable after a meeting.
- kmaluegCopper ContributorFor the "Follow" option will Copilot automatically start a recording of the meeting and do the other attendees know that will be happening?
- Yana Terukhova
Microsoft
it does not start automatically, it notifies the owner of the meeting, that someone is following suggesting to record.- kmaluegCopper ContributorDo you need the meeting to be recorded in order to get a summary of the meeting?
- SMREP2105Copper ContributorWhen looking at the articles regarding semantic index, seems it's not fully implemented in all 365sku's? Confused on its part with copilot for M365.
- Yana Terukhova
Microsoft
You do not have to have it, if rolling out, not yet completed for Copilot to work. As the tenant gets more indexed over time, the responses will keep improving, but it is not a prerequisite at all.- SMREP2105Copper ContributorThank you, Yana. But is it being rolled out to everyone in the future? the reason I ask it's not something an org can turn and off. Please expand on more indexed over time" and "not yet completed for Copilot to work"
