- Paul_LuedtkeCopper ContributorAre sensitivity labels for Loop only available to be set at the Admin level? or can users customize their own?
- Matt_Anderson
Microsoft
Sensitivity labels are similar to those that you've used across other WXP apps in that users can select the appropriate label relevant to their component within a set of options, but the admin will dictate which labels are available for use among users within their tenant. Check out more regarding sensitivity labels for Loop components here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365-blog/microsoft-loop-at-ignite-2022/ba-p/3643382
- AlexH980Iron ContributorWill we be able to have loop components for 1st party apps? Would love to have loops for excel tables, lists, To Do tasks, etc. I know 3rd party support is in development as well. Can we expect to see anything roll out this year?
- Matt_Anderson
Microsoft
We're working toward bringing Loop components to more of the Microsoft ecosystem, to ensure that you can collaborate with your team within the context of your preferred app. Regarding 3rd party integrations, our Adaptive Card-based Loop components enable 3rd party developers to create Loop components to supplement the way they work today. Check out this blog for more info: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365-blog/adaptive-card-based-loop-components-collaborate-on-live-content/ba-p/3644272- AlexH980Iron ContributorThanks for the reply. Can we expect to see any of this launch with the Loop app?
- wedoingitliveCopper ContributorAny rough ETA on when the features will be publicly available and more specifically the gov clouds?
- Meenah_KhosrawIron Contributor
Hey wedoingitlive,
This item is listed on the Microsoft 365 Roadmap with an estimated general availability of May 2023: Microsoft Teams: Loop components in Teams chat for GCC.
Be sure to bookmark the Microsoft 365 Roadmap as it will have the most current information available for planned and upcoming features.
Thanks!
Meenah
- Shane ChismBrass ContributorThanks Corey! Loop components are available today in the public enterprise cloud, and we're working very hard to get Loop components rolled out in Gov Cloud environments. I don't think we've announced a timeline yet, but our team is working incredibly hard to get it supported and it's absolutely in the plan (for both Loop components and the upcoming Loop app).
- BenSteginkIron ContributorAny updates and sort of public preview of the web app or invites into a private preview? loop.microsoft.com just tells me I'm still on the waitlist...
- julieseto
Microsoft
Thanks for joining the waitlist Ben. We're expanding the private preview program each month by inviting waitlist customers in, but due to the high volume of interest not all waitlist customers will be able to join our private preview. We are working hard on some finishing touches so that we can move to a more open public preview, so stay tuned on announcements.
- keen_johannessenCopper ContributorDo you have a good over view of what Loop can do for you=

Microsoft Loop enables people to work together to achieve their goals - from everyday decisions to large projects. Loop synchronizes across apps and devices so that everyone can work from their preferred way with the most up to date information. And it brings people together from wherever they are – recapturing the feeling of teamwork! The 3 main things Loop can do for you are:Provide a better way to co-create, for example:- Connect with others easily - From virtual high fives to personalized shoutouts, Loop helps you capture that teamwork feeling.
- Easily share and edit the right information with the right people using Loop components. With Loop components you can crowdsource information, each person can contribute from the app they are already in.
- Start brainstorming together in a component and grow into a workspace as your needs evolve.
- React, comment and build on each other's ideas as if you are in the same room.
Help you keep everything on one place, for example:- Gather information quickly by adding content to a shared workspace.
- Save time with templates like project briefs, meeting notes, and team decisions.
- Add external links as pages to your workspace so you and your team can access information easily
- Find what you are looking for without a long search – look in “recents” in the app or filter for Loop in Microsoft365.com
- Organize your content as your project evolves by simply dragging and dropping pages or blocks of content within a page.
Help you stay in sync and on track, for example:- Get more done right where you are, with Loop components that sync across apps in real time.
- Don't let time zones, commutes, or workstyle preference interfere with collaboration. With Loop there are many ways to communicate your ideas to others. And keep responding to each other while on the go.
- Get only the notifications you care about and jump right back into what needs the most attention with at mentions that help you focus on the right content.

Welcome to the Microsoft Loop Ask Microsoft Anything (AMA)! This text-based live hour event gives you the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to the product team. Post each question in the "Comment on this event…" box above.
- Forrest_HIron ContributorI'm assuming that we do not have to Re-Post what we have been posting for the past month? The Contributors / Product resources seem to be Replying to old Comments. Will there be a Bulleted List or Summary produced after the AMA? This method of AMA is getting hard to follow
- SusanMcClementsIron ContributorLooking forward to learning more about Loop.
- Constance Gervais
Microsoft
Hello, I am Constance! I am a Product Manager on the Microsoft Loop team, looking forward to answering all your questions today!
- methodbamCopper ContributorHello, Will Loop/Fluid components become compliant in the future and how ? How will we able to manage and watch what's written on a Fluid, avoid data leaks Please share your vision / roadmap on a compliance side.
- Shane ChismBrass Contributor
The easiest way to think about it is to know the Loop components/pages are essentially files in SharePoint. We've announced at our recent Ignite conference bringing Sensitivity labels to Loop components, and we aim to have full party between the security & compliance features of your more traditional Office docs and the new world of Loop components and Loop pages.
I'll also mention this support will extend to features like eDiscovery, in addition to labeling and protection, so that you'll be able to have the full suite of advanced security capabilities that you have for SP files today.
- Forrest_HIron Contributor
I think you may find some useful information they posted in the Blog link above
- AndrewH83Copper ContributorWhen will the full loop app that was shown at ignite 2021 be released? My follow up question to that would be that once the full app is released, how will it be managed/Administered? Currently loop is just a PowerShell command that requires SPO admin rights, so I'm just curious how the administration will evolve over time and what other things in an admin would be able to manage/control in the future.
- Shane ChismBrass ContributorNothing to announce right this minute but it's coming very soon! Keep your eyes peeled, we're working hard to put some finishing touches on things and get the Loop app out into public hands!! In terms of support, we're definitely aiming to give the same level of admin support you'd expect from Microsoft. Loop storage is all back in OneDrive/SharePoint, and will be built to support the same security and compliance features that you would expect from an Office or SharePoint file (i.e. Labeling, Protection) and support advanced admin actions (including rights management and PowerShell scripting). Our goal is to make the experience very consistent with how you'll manage Office files in SharePoint so that it's extremely easy for anyone familiar with SharePoint controls to administer Loop.
- aaBrass ContributorWill Markdown be supported in Loop? If so, will there be real-time previews and export features?
- MaryHillSHUBrass ContributorWhat is Markdown?
- Shane ChismBrass ContributorDefinitely a popular request (especially in our internal teams!). Nothing to announce date-wise right now, but this is absolutely something we're working to get supported in Loop. It's high on the list!
- TillotsonSamanthaCopper ContributorWill it be possible to export pages from Notion and import them to Loop?
- julieseto
Microsoft
Thanks for the feedback Samantha, we'll keep this in mid and hope you bring your content into Loop! - NovaBlueSteveCopper ContributorI really hope so. I have a VERY healthy Notion page for my company, and migration will be a PAIN if not...
- julieseto
Microsoft
We hear your feedback Steve, thanks for the suggestion
